Two Christmas Knit Hats

I knit two hats for my Secret Santa partner with my group of friends here on deployment. I knit my first brim hat with Bernat Alpaca in Cream. The brim took a lot of shaping with water, I think it came out great overall. Everyone that saw it was impressed that I knit it. I also knit her a simple basic knit hat that I have made a few of, but I put a Norwegian Star pattern on it. This was my first time knitting a design into a piece, and it didn't come out prefect but I think it looks good overall.

New Etsy Website-Sparkleshan Knits

A few months ago I decided to open a new Etsy shop.  Some of you may know that I used to sell handspun yarn on Etsy a few years back.  Due to life I closed the shop a few years back and haven't really been spinning yarn much.  Well I am still ever crafting and knitting.  I decided to open shop again because I really like sharing my creations with other people.  It's really satisfying to know that someone enjoys the things that I make with my hands and with my heart :) My new Etsy shop is called SparkleShan Knits. Day #8 Fiberuary Challenge 2021

This year I will....make more time for knitting and crafting. My soul NEEDS to be creative on a regular basis. I can't really explain it but when I can't do this I feel out of balance and like something is missing from me. That's why this year our family has made every Sunday "craft day". This year I will finish WIPs that have been sitting for years. Like my first finished knitting project of 2021 that I am wearing in this picture. It is the  #outlinewrap  pattern designed by  #beatajezek  that I started in November 2015. It's been sitting for years 95% done. So I decide to make a plan to work on a WIP on my two days a week at the hospital during my lunch break. And I finished this in a week and a half!
