A new Gnome showed up in the mail for me the other day. He has had a few adventures since he has been here so far. This morning he did PMCS on the green Monster. He's checking the oil and all the belts. And here he is inspecting the cleaning job of my M16's bolt.

I finally finished the knitted Bunny that I started making for Emma back in April! I got the pattern from the book Knitted Toys by Zoe Mellor. It is a pretty easy knit but between that time I was busy getting deployed and all that good stuff, so I had put it on hold for a while. Now that I am settled in here, I decided it was time to put my mind to it and finish. I already had most of the limbs done, it was just a matter of sweing the seams together and stuffing them.

Joy from Germany

When I stopped in Germany on the way here, I was a little out of it and don't really remember much. But I found these little Kinder Joy egg things that I had bought. They are candy in the a plastic egg shaped container. On one side is a type of cream with to chocolate filled balls and the other side holds a surprise t oy . It even comes with a little spoon to eat the egg like candy. I bought one more egg to send home to Emma, can't wait to see what she gets for a surprise inside!
