Our first 5k race

Yesterday my daughter and I ran our first 5k race together, Color Me Rad, in Hartford. It was rainy and cold and our hands went numb but we had looks of fun getting all the colors thrown on us. Next year will be more prepared and wear long sleeve shirts and gloves so we don't freeze again!

This year I will....make more time for knitting and crafting. My soul NEEDS to be creative on a regular basis. I can't really explain it but when I can't do this I feel out of balance and like something is missing from me. That's why this year our family has made every Sunday "craft day". Grace Pillow Knit pattern designed by Denise Bayron

Denis Bayron of Bayron Handmade, designed this super cute pillow cover based on the design of her Grade Pullover. It is knit with super bulky yarn so its a fast knit but of course it still took me 3 weeks to finish because life happens. New Etsy Website-Sparkleshan Knits

A few months ago I decided to open a new Etsy shop.  Some of you may know that I used to sell handspun yarn on Etsy a few years back.  Due to life I closed the shop a few years back and haven't really been spinning yarn much.  Well I am still ever crafting and knitting.  I decided to open shop again because I really like sharing my creations with other people.  It's really satisfying to know that someone enjoys the things that I make with my hands and with my heart :) My new Etsy shop is called SparkleShan Knits.
